Guard Booths
A guard booth is a pre-assembled, insulated room with windows on three or four sides, heat and air, lighting, and a single utility connection, delivered on a truck and set with a forklift or crane. Ballistic-rated booths add rated glazing and panels to a specified protection level.

How to specify guard booths
Booths are sized by the number of officers and the equipment inside: 4' x 6' for one person and a monitor, 6' x 8' or 8' x 10' for two people or a transaction window, larger for a break area or a restroom module. Standard construction is a welded steel frame with insulated panels, insulated glass, a sliding window, and a wall-mounted heat pump.
For sites with a threat assessment, ballistic-rated booths use glazing and wall panels tested to a UL 752 level. The level is chosen from the assessment, not the catalog; ask for the assessment before you ask for a price. Setting the booth is most of the job, so quotes include the base or pad requirements, the utility stub location, and the crane or forklift set.
Before you ask for a quote, know:
- Number of people inside and what equipment they need
- Site: pad, curb, or roof; how a truck and a crane can reach it
- Ballistic level if required, from a threat assessment
- Utilities available at the site: power, data, and whether a restroom is needed
- Climate: heat pump, heater and A/C, or both

- How does a guard booth ship?
- Assembled, on a flatbed. It is set on a prepared pad with a forklift or a small crane and connected to a single power point. Most sites are running the same day.
- What does a UL 752 level mean?
- UL 752 defines protection levels by the round the glazing and panels stop. The right level comes from a site threat assessment. We quote the level you specify and can supply the test documentation.
