About industrial doors
Industrial doors do three jobs: keep conditioned air where it belongs, keep forklift traffic moving, and survive being hit. No single door does all three equally well, which is why a plant usually runs several types. High-speed roll-up doors open in a second or two and close behind traffic to hold temperature and pressure at busy interior openings and dock vestibules. Impact traffic doors swing open when a pallet jack pushes through and take daily abuse without a motor or a control. Sectional overhead doors are the insulated exterior door at the dock and the drive-in bay. Strip doors and PVC curtains handle the openings that need airflow separation on a budget.
A door is specified by the finished opening size, the traffic that passes through it, the temperature and pressure difference across it, and how it mounts to the wall. Interior openings between production and warehouse, cooler and freezer entries, dock door replacements, and wash-down areas each have a standard answer. Send us the opening dimensions, what goes through it and how often, and a photo of the wall, and we come back with a door, an operator if it needs one, and the mounting hardware as line items.
