Strip doors are the least expensive way to separate air, dust, and noise at an opening people and forklifts pass through. Divider curtains split a floor into zones on a track and slide open for equipment moves.

How to specify sectional doors, strip doors, and divider curtains
Sectional doors are specified by opening size, insulation, track type from the headroom, and chain hoist or electric operator, with weather seals, vision lites, and interlocks to the dock restraint as options. Strip doors are kits cut to the opening with standard, low-temperature, or ribbed strips for forklift traffic. Divider curtains are specified by run length and height with the fabric for the job: vinyl, insulated, sound-absorbing, or fire-rated.
Curtains are the answer when a wall is too permanent and a strip door is too small: paint and weld areas, temperature zones, noise control, and clean areas next to production.
Before you ask for a quote, know:
- Opening or run size, headroom above the opening
- What the door or curtain is separating: temperature, dust, noise, security
- Traffic through it and cycles per day
- Power at the opening for powered doors
Questions buyers ask
- Do strip doors hold temperature?
- They reduce air exchange at low traffic. With many cycles a day and a temperature difference, a high-speed door holds far more.
