How to specify dock door protection, bumpers, and hvls fans
Goal-post guards are sized to the door opening and bolt to the slab inside the door. Track guards protect the lower door track. Bumpers are chosen by projection and traffic, laminated for economy and molded for long life. Edge gates are rated to stop a lift truck at low speed and lift out of the way when a trailer docks.
HVLS fans are quoted by diameter and mounting height with the controller and the structural mount, and are bundled with a cool-down room where a plant is building a heat plan.
Before you ask for a quote, know:
- Door opening size and number of doors
- What keeps getting damaged: door, track, wall, or trailer contact
- For fans: bay area, ceiling height, and available power
